WHAT A DAY IT WAS

It was a beautiful Thursday evening as i proceeded to Serena Victoria hall to witness with my ears the beautiful voices of Suzanne Owiyo and Oliver Mtukudzi .The show kicked off at 8.30pm with a Ugandan band whose name i cant recall , doing the curtain raising. Dressed in black, the band kicked off their set with a lingering jam entitled Weeping. Their set which lasted 30 minutes was followed by the Kenyan, Owiyo’s performance. It was such an engaging performance as she sung one of my favorite songs Kisumu where she picked interested ugandan men to dance with her.
By the time Mtukudzi came on stage, at 10.30pm, the crowd was already hyped up. He took us  to another high, performing long time favorites of many  hits such as Neria and Todii (what shall we do).To me this was a night to remember, “It was such a perfect beginning for the weekend )
